A strong calling to be of service in the in the community lead Sanchez to pursue a career in healthcare. Sanchez ultimately went on to specialize in the emerging paradigm of functional medicine. Functional medicine is a patient-centered healthcare model that blends the best of Western medicine, technology and science with a complimentary medical approach of treating the individual. Each patient is carefully evaluated for their specific biochemical and functional imbalances. A more organic healing process is encouraged and stimulated through nutraceuticals, such as nutritional supplements, herbal extracts and homeopathic formulas, as alternatives to drug therapy. Sanchez' extensive clinical experience includes natural medical and integrative approaches for the treatment of chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia, digestive disorders, food allergies and intolerances, immune system disorders, women's health, depression and anxiety, and respiratory and circulatory disorders, among others.

Sanchez is an active speaker on the treatment of health disorders with alternative and complementary medicine.
