Dr. Alexander Rivkin believes that modern medical technology can provide today's patients with advanced alternatives to traditional invasive surgery that requires an extensive recovery time. This fall, Dr. Alexander Rivkin will bring his expertise in the latest non-invasive procedures to Pure Aesthetics - Pure Wellness - Bel Air's new skincare, anti-aging and wellness center that takes a modern and integrated approach to skincare and wellness.

Prior to his position as medical director at Pure Aesthetics - Pure Wellness, Dr. Alexander Rivkin founded Westside Medical Spa in the Westwood area of Los Angeles . It was at Westside Medical Spa where he broke new ground in state-of-the-art cosmetic procedures such as: The Non-Surgical Chin and Cheek Enhancement and Non-Surgical Eye, Jowl and Face Lifts. He was the first physician in the country to offer the Non-Surgical Nose Job (aka Injection Rhinoplasty), his signature method for non-invasive correction of cosmetic nasal irregularities.

Originally from Odessa, Ukraine, Dr. Alexander Rivkin hails from a long line of beauty professionals: His grandmother was a highly respected esthetician in Stalinist Russia while his grandfather developed the products used for her custom facial treatments. His mother, also a well-known esthetician, continues the tradition, running a prominent skin care practice in Boston .

Dr. Alexander Rivkin received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his M.D. degree from Yale University. He received his postgraduate residency training in Otolaryngology-Facial Plastic Surgery at U.C., San Diego and the University of Texas , Houston . He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, American Medical Association, American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological Society, American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology, American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, California Society of Facial Plastic Surgery and the Los Angeles County Medical Society.

He has been featured as an expert on the TODAY show, the Tyra Banks Show, EXTRA, Univision, PBS, Fox news, E! channel, KNBC-TV and KABC-TV. In addition to his many achievements, Dr. Alexander Rivkin is also fluent in two languages other than English: French and Russian.
